SALADO ART FAIR
The Salado Art Fair is highlight of summer for art lovers from across the state.  The event is held on August 2 - 3, 2008 in the Village of Salado - just a short drive North of Austin.  

Included in this years line-up with be several wonderful representatives of the Texas Original (TxO) program sponsored by the Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA).   This program was established to achieve three primary goals:  
  • Promote original work by Texas' craft artists
  • Provide a method for buying/selling original Texas artwork and crafts
  • Lay foundation for future development of TCA's Craft Initiative
The Salado Art Fair features over 130 artists and artisan's from across Texas and throughout the Southwest.  The fair takes place in a beautiful Pace Memorial Park on the banks of Salado Creek.    Parking is free throughout the Village.  

FREDERICKSBURG FOOD & WINE FEST

Martkplatz provides the back drop to the 17th Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest on October 25, 2008. 

A celebration of Texas food and wine with music, specialty booths, food court and fun for all.   Spend the day listening to a continuous array of lively toe-tapping music, be on hand for the Great Gargantuan Grape Toss and pick up a few precious items at the auction to beat all auctions!

TEXAS ORIGINAL WEBSITE

At the Texas Original website you can view the works of many talented craft artisans and shop for a few treasured items.   Artists included in the Texas Original program have been through a review process overseen by the Texas Commission on the Arts. TCA has provided financial support and learning opportunities to arts and cultural organizations for over forty years. Only artisans and crafts people who meet the highest business, quality and artistic standards are granted the title of Texas Original. When you see the TxO brand, you know that you are looking at a high-quality, authentic, original work by a Texas artist.

Our switchplates are now available for viewing and purchasing at  City Lights and Design in Northwest Austin.  

City Lights and Design has a great showroon filled with unique lighting fixtures and ceiling fans and stocks many accessories, including switchplates from Artisan's Touch.
